From
Dusk Till Dawn (1995), Batman
& Robin (1997), Out
Of Sight (1998 opposite Jennifer Lopez), One

Pfeiffer)

Facts about George Clooney:
In
Ocean's
Eleven, when he joins the teen idols card game, he asks Topher Grace
"Isn't it a big move from TV to movies?". George Clooney moved from
TV (ER) to movies.
In Out
Of Sight (1998), the mug shot of his character Jack Foley (of which
Karen, played by Jennifer Lopez,
says "He doesn't even look like that") is the mug shot of Clooney's
character Seth Gecko from From
Dusk Till Dawn (1996).
Practiced
his singing for weeks for O
Brother, Where Art Thou? , but in the end his singing voice was dubbed.
He is proud of making his directorial debut with
new film Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind - but the experience has put
him off ever doing it again.
Good
friends with actor Mark Wahlberg,
with whom he played in
Three Kings, The
Perfect Storm. Clooney also co-produced Mark Wahlberg's movie Rock
Star.
Coincidentally Clooney's first steady TV role
was in the medical sitcom E/R back in 1984 that was based in Chicago and co-starred
Elliott Gould, Mary McDonnell and Jason Alexander. Ten years later it would
take another TV series ER (1994) (also based in Chicago) to finally launch Clooney
into the galaxy of super stardom.
He was gab-queen Rosie O'Donnell's very first
guest when her TV show debuted.
He was committed to O
Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000) before even reading a script.
His famed Roman haircut was actually an accident.
While filming From
Dusk Till Dawn he wanted to make
his character Seth Gecko look really crazy with a chopped off hairstyle. But
the haircut became popular and turned into a positive.
Reportedly got into a fistfight with
Three Kings (1999) director David
O. Russell on the set. Russell had yelled and derided a few extras out of frustration
and Clooney didn't appreciate it. Russell has since said I wouldn't make another
George Clooney movie if they paid him $20 million.
Has stated in several interviews that he has
suffered from bleeding stomach ulcers, and is still on medication for stomach
pain to this day.
George
Clooney was reportedly forced to do battle with animal rights activists during
the shooting of The
Perfect Storm, the disaster-at-sea movie.
George Clooney's ex-lover, Kimberly Russell,
has warned his new flame never to ask for marriage or commitment from the Hollywood
star - because the relationship will be over in an instant.
He says he will never get married, nor have
any children, but Michelle
Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman
have bet $10,000 each that he will be a father before he turns 40.
He waged war against the paparazzi by boycotting
Entertainment Tonight, the sister show of Hard Copy, which had filmed Clooney
without his permission.
(1997) He was voted Sexiest Man Alive by People
Magazine
George Clooney has fired back at critics who
accused him of turning his back on the missing millions raised by the American
charity telethon.
In 1997 George Clooney injured his lower leg
playing basketball, while shooting Batman and Robin. Because of this, he needed
to cut the boot off of the Bat-suit in order to wear a cast. You can tell when
his leg was injured from his limping while inside the freeze rocket.
Attached to play Artemus Gordon in Wild
Wild West (1999), but turned it down reportedly because it was a supporting
part.
He also played a U.S. Army Special Forces officer
in The
Peacemaker (1997, with Nicole Kidman), the same role he has in
Three Kings (1999)
He
asked to have his character's smoking scenes in Out
Of Sight removed, since he had quit only a few years earlier and didn't
want to risk getting hooked again.
He had a keg of Guinness installed in his dressing
room during filming Ocean's
Eleven (2001).
His friend and stunt double, Brad Martin, didn't
get to double for George in Out
Of Sight, so George got him the role of the White Boxer.
