Actress known for her “girl-next-door” appeal, she is the daughter of an opera singer. Bullock's voice lessons led to her debut as a country singer in The Thing Called Love (1993). After studying acting at E. Carolina University in North Carolina, she landed roles in While You Were Sleeping (1995), Speed (1994 opposite Keanu Reeves), Speed 2 and The Net (1995). Bullock has become one of Hollywood's most popular leading women, starring in the romantic films In Love and War (1996 opposite Chris O'Donnell), Hope Floats (1998), and Practical Magic (1998 with Nicole Kidman), A Time To Kill (with Matthew McConaughey), 28 days (1999), Miss Congeniality, Forces Of Nature (with Ben Affleck) and many more. In 2002 she starred in Divine Secrets Of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood and Murder By Numbers.
